Spring REnewal Retreat Guide

4/19/2024

Our Spring Renewal Retreat Guide is now available!

LifePath compiled this guide as a tool that can be used during a focused time of rest, renewal and delight. We hope you'll sign up for one of our renewal retreats at the Franciscan Spiritual Center in Aston, PA this spring (email [email protected] to schedule)! But we know that schedules are busy and life is difficult, so even if you can't get away for 24 hours, you can use the prayers and prompts included in the guide as you're able.

Grab your printed copy of our guide at an upcoming celebration gathering, or access the PDF version below!  There is a single-page PDF and one that is formatted for booklet printing, if you'd like to print your own.

Additionally, Duane led a Life Seminar in April that walked us through an Introduction to Contemplative Practices, including the practices outlined in the guide. You can listen to the Life Seminar below, either as preparation for your retreat or to deepen your own understanding. Click on the button below to listen to an audio-only version, or watch the embedded video - the content begins at about 6:24.

Spring Renewal Retreats

3/30/2024

It’s time to get away! By yourself, with Jesus. It’s both good and necessary. We’re embracing a season of rest and renewal at LifePath.

LifePath has received grant funds for all of our adults to participate in overnight personal retreats during the months of April, May, and June. The Franciscan Spiritual Center in Aston, PA has five individual cabin residences (called hermitages) that are available for renewal with Jesus.

More details about the hermitages can be found in the PDF document linked below, or at fscaston.org/hermitages/.

To sign up for your one-night retreat, email Tori ([email protected]) with your top three available dates and she will handle scheduling with the center. Availability is not guaranteed, so the sooner you can sign up, the better!

Spring Swap and Drop on March 23, 2024

2/20/2024

Our Spring Swap and Drop is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from 9-11am! Twice per year, we clean out our closets and bring in our unwanted (but still wearable!) clothes, shoes and accessories. We invite our friends, neighbors, and community to bring their unneeded items, and we all enjoy going “shopping” without any money changing hands.

Ways to help:
1) Bring in any clothes you’d like to donate to the gathering during the Sundays leading up to the event, and we’ll store them until the swap!
2) Setup will happen the evening before on Friday, March 22 at 6pm, so come help us get ready! You can also come as early as 8am to help on the day of the event.
3) Invite anyone who would be interested in coming - the more, the merrier!

RSVP to our event on Facebook and share it to your personal page to invite your local friends! Or just share the flyers below!

A quick note: Those of us who grew up in the evangelical church sometimes have strong feelings about youth retreats, and the emotional manipulation we experienced at these events. We want to assure you that this experience will not echo those. Salt 'n Light Youth Ministry is an organization Keith and Bethany have a history with and a high level of trust in. With Keith as the speaker, we can all trust the teaching will be solid. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Adam.
