What are "meal Communities?"
Smaller groups of people (10-20) that gather regularly like extended family. We hang out together, worship together, host parties together, and eat together. We watch each others’ kids and attend big events in each others’ lives. We talk about life, faith, doubts, and struggles. And we try really hard to love our neighbors.
An MC gathering might look a little different than what you’ve experienced as “church” in the past. We always eat together (bring a dish to share when you join us!). Often we'll reflect on what we've been learning, and share stories of where God is at work. And we pray together. It’s participatory and simple. The goal is to be a community that practices "one anothers" well. We are trying to actively participate in the gift of community that Jesus gave us.
